Well it’s been a little while since I last blogged. I can’t believe how crazy the last couple weeks have been! I feel like I barely had time for some “me” time in the last little while, but you can bet I’m making sure I’ll get some soon!
I wanted to share with you two custom pendants I made recently for two different customers. The first pendant on the left features the customer’s husband as a teenager, with his older sister who sadly took her life a short time later; this pendant was made for the customer’s mother-in-law which I think is just beautiful. The pendant on the right was made for a customer who just wanted a piece of jewelry featuring her four beautiful children; a photograph she took herself!
I am so grateful for being selected to create these two pendants! I would be happy to discuss a custom pendant with you, please contact me using the form or by e-mailing me. =)
Two weeks ago I took part in my first ever Vancouver JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes. For the past few years, I have taken part in the Victoria walk since I lived on the Island and raised money for the walk. Due to our big move from the Island to the Mainland, I wasn’t able to get started as early as I normally do with fundraising but I managed to put together $537.98, just over half of my original $1,000 goal so I’m pretty happy with that.
It was hard to take photographs while walking and by the end of the walk, we were all ready for naps but below is a small gallery with some photographs I took. Enjoy!
When I combine 2009 through 2012, I have managed to raise $3,102.05 for the Walk to Cure Diabetes! I am looking forward to next year and can’t wait to start my fundraising plans for that. I will be taking part in the Fraser Valley walk next year, so that more of Kyle’s family can join us. This year Kyle, his mom (Type 2), aunt, my mom and my step-dad were able to take part with me. My parents made a special trip from the Island just for the Walk!
