You don’t understand how happy I am it is finally Sunday, May 27th. I have been such a busy bee this past week, that it’s nice to finally be done! I had been crafting as much as possible to prep for the market in Victoria, I got my sewing machine and went on a bit of a craze sewing and I made a trip home to Victoria for the weekend!
I was at the Goddess Market last night, hosted by Namaste Inspired, which benefited the Relay for Life walk in Victoria at the end of June. It was a good time; there was champagne, dessert, a DJ, awwwesome raffle prize baskets and a good variety of vendors!

This was my first official market since I opened my handmade business in October 2011 and I am happy to say it was a great experience! I got a lot of compliments, made sales and overall had a good time! Looking forward to heading back to Victoria in November 16-18 for the Earthly Goods Christmas Craft fair now!
I hosted a draw for a free necklace at the market. If you came by and entered, I’ll be drawing a name on Wednesday.
I am also happy to say that there are a few of the newer items I haven’t listed available, so I will be listing them in the shop later this week!

So as I mentioned I went on a bit of a craze this past week after getting my sewing machine. I made myself an insulin carrying case, a craft apron for markets, a purse organizer and a blanket for our foster cat out of Kyle’s housecoat that she looooves to sleep on!
I started a wallet but ended up not really liking my choice of fabric so I didn’t finish it..my previous wallet fell apart though, so I’m using it until I made a new wallet, but yeah..it’s not really done, so I won’t show a photo
haha.

I’ve got a nice collection of fabric now, hoping to add more soon. I’ve decided to open a pretty specific-related sewing business, so once I have enough product made and it’s ready to go, I’ll share it. =) I’m still stuck on a name, so I can’t give you that at the moment..hopefully I can figure that out soon. If you have any suggestions, I’ll gladly take them!!

I’m back home visiting for the weekend and now that the Goddess Market is over, it’s truly a vacation. haha. Last night after the market, I crawled into bed and watched Princess Bride on my laptop to help me fall asleep. My mom’s newest kitten, Finn, who is only 5months old but weighs more and is longer than he should be for his age decided to join me. I thought to end this post I’d share one of several photos I snapped with Instagram of him! What a cutie!
