This quick and easy paper craft I found on Ruffled is perfect for Valentine’s Day decorations, weddings, or just brightening up your home! I decided to show you this craft for Valentine’s Day because, well, usually when you think of a dozen red roses, you think of Valentine’s Day!

In the original DIY, they used red paper but I don’t have any red paper so I decided to use the scrapbook paper I use for backdrops. The paper is double sided, so I was able to get red patterns on some and text with red designs on others. You can use whatever colour/pattern you want of course. =)
Step 1.
Cut your choice of paper into 4×4 squares:

Step 2.
Draw a spiral on each square sheet:

Step 3.
Cut out the spiral along the lines you drew:

Step 4.
Roll the paper from the outside in and keep going until you reach the end:

Step 5.
This isn’t really a step…you’re done! ha-ha. I used a little bit of scotch tape (can also use glue) to keep the rose together, but you don’t have to do that.

The last thing you need to do is get some twigs from your neighbourhood park or buy some, real or fake, from a local craft store so you can put this craft in action! I purchased a pack of curly willow. You can either push the roses down to various height levels or cut them to the heights you want. I taped the inner part of the rose to the twig, to keep them from slipping down.
Ta-da! A perfect, simple, display for your table for any occasion. Slightly cheaper than buying a dozen roses too and you can have as many different colours as you want!

They’re so easy to make but you can’t tell just by looking at them!
Paige @ Little Nostalgia - So cute! And much easier to make than I thought. I might have to give this a try…
Natalie - Paige -
I wasn’t sure how easy it was going to be. The first one I made was pretty bad haha but it’s actually pretty easy once you get the rolling down =)
A nice alternative to flowers that die after a few days and not ugly like fake flowers! Keep the real flowers in the garden and these in the house! =)
Rose - I have seen these paper rose tutorials everyone on Pinterest now and will have to give them a try sometime. They’re adorable! Great suggestion for Valentine’s Day decor.
Natalie - OnePerfectDay –
Totally! And it’ll be a conversation piece too because they are obviously not real flowers but they don’t look weird like fake flowers. =)
